The suspect for the shooting at a congressional baseball practice on Wednesday has been identified as James T. Hodgkinson, a home inspector from Illinois.

The Washington Post first identified the 66-year-old Belleville resident as the suspect who fired at a practice in Alexandria, Va., injuring five people.

Police did not immediately reveal a motive for the shooting.

“Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.,” he wrote in one March Facebook post.

Hodgkinson showed strong support for Sanders, the socialist senator who challenged Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination. One of his Facebook pages features a Sanders picture as its cover photo, and the other has a profile picture of Sanders depicted as Uncle Sam. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/alexandria-shooting-suspect-identified-james-t-hodgkinson-article-1.3246836
